The Rime of the Mariner part the third

1. At the start of the part the third, all the passengers were dehydrated. They had no water which made all their throats and mouths dry.
2. They are hallucinating. There are all so tired they can’t even talk or wave because they have no energy.
3. They saw a ghost boat and it was full of imaginary people. The passengers thought that the people were dead so they didn’t do anything.
4. The Mariner was starting to get scared because he was getting scared his blood started to drop. The sky was dim and the stars instantly shot away.
5. Each member of his crew threw the Mariner a look and cursed him then all of a sudden all of his crew dropped dead one by one.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner – The first and second parts.

My understanding of this poem is about the Ancient Mariner which I think he is an old sailor and in the poem he is at a wedding. The Mariner is telling the guests interesting story’s. The Mariner explained the story in deep detail. He was in a disastrous storm and he never saw a person or animal until he came across the Albatross, the bird followed the boat through the storm and while it did they had good winds and food. He shot the albatross and it fell into the sea dead and with it went the weather and food. The boat was surrounded by water but they couldn’t drink it because it was salt water.
